Michelin Power Days 2018

News Update June 2018

Knockhill and Bishopscourt

In June we are running our annual events in Scotland and Ireland. Knockhill is nearly full and a great day is promised at the home of Scottish motorsport. There are still places left at Bishopscourt, so book now to avoid disappointment. We will also be announcing a special guest rider soon.

This week we held the first Power Day of the year at Snetterton. The weather was fantastic and a great day was had by all. The classroom sessions with twice World Endurance Champion Terry Rymer was a great success and Steve Parrish kept everyone amused! The Thundersport supported riders had excellent track time and many of Michelins customers including FWR and Jennings entertained their guests.

“I wish all our trackdays were run as friendly and professionally as the Power Days” - Giles Olley - MSV Chief Instructor

“It is the best trackday I have ever been on” - Melvin Eke - Rider

Event Timings

We have added the rough timetable for the forthcoming events to this website. There will also be some photos from Snetterton added.

Introduction

The plans for 2018 are being bigger and bolder than ever before. We are again holding five events throughout the UK, but this year we have EXCLUSIVE hire of all the circuits. This is not only to increase the number of participants but also to build an intimate and more personal experience.  Alongside Snetterton, back are the fantastic Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire, Knockhill in Scotland and Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland. We are extremely pleased to announce our first trip to the brilliant and picturesque Anglesey Circuit in North Wales.

Alongside Terry Rymer we have assembled a very experienced team of instructors to give excellent tuition on the day. For all novice riders, Terry will be giving a compulsory classroom session on how to get the most out of your trackday experience.  There will also be a compulsory tyre academy talk by Michelin UK, to help explain their tyre range and the benefits they have seen since being back in Moto GP. We are also hoping to add some star studded VIP riders!

We hope that by building capacity to over 600 riders, we also plan to change the structure of the events to make them more ‘open to all’. Whether you are a trackday hero or a complete novice, we will be able to accommodate your particular needs and requirements.

Whatever your experience, a fantastic day is promised for only an amazing £49!

Changing it up to make 2018 Powerdays more Inclusive!

This year sees a change to procedings with the inclusion of the New Michelin Sports Touring Tyre. So confident are Michelin with the ability of the New Michelin Road 5, that you can now attend a 2018 Michelin Powerday with this fabulous all round tyre!

For the 2018 Powerdays we are booking all of the circuits for the whole day, meaning that we have more spaces than ever and  will be able to run 3 Groups. There will be a Road 5//Novice group, an Intermediate Group and a Fast Group, each getting equal track time with expert tuition from our instructors.
