Michelin Power Days 2018

News Update August 2018

Last week saw the fourth Powerday of the year at the fantastic Cadwell Park. A superb day was had by all at the well run MSV venue. It just goes to prove you don’t have to go to Spain to have brilliant weather, a great track day and a well organised event.

We were joined on the day by a number of motorcycle journalists. Chris and Carl Newbigging from Performance Bike, Michael Mann from Visor Down and Carl Stevens from Fast Bike magazine. Please look out for their insightful articles on the Powerdays and Michelin products.

The next event is the final Powerday of the year at the amazing Anglesey International Circuit. Why not join us?

This stunningly picturesque 2.1 mile coastal circuit is our first Welsh event and we are lucky to have many Irish riders who have made the trip across the Irish Sea to Holyhead. There are a few places left, so please don’t miss out and join us for what promises to be the biggest and best event of the year. A fitting climax to a great 2018 Powerday calendar and summer.

Event Timings

We have added the rough timetable for the forthcoming events to this website.

Introduction

The plans for 2018 are being bigger and bolder than ever before. We are again holding five events throughout the UK, but this year we have EXCLUSIVE hire of all the circuits. This is not only to increase the number of participants but also to build an intimate and more personal experience.  Alongside Snetterton, back are the fantastic Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire, Knockhill in Scotland and Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland. We are extremely pleased to announce our first trip to the brilliant and picturesque Anglesey Circuit in North Wales.

Alongside Terry Rymer we have assembled a very experienced team of instructors to give excellent tuition on the day. For all novice riders, Terry will be giving a compulsory classroom session on how to get the most out of your trackday experience.  There will also be a compulsory tyre academy talk by Michelin UK, to help explain their tyre range and the benefits they have seen since being back in Moto GP. We are also hoping to add some star studded VIP riders!

We hope that by building capacity to over 600 riders, we also plan to change the structure of the events to make them more ‘open to all’. Whether you are a trackday hero or a complete novice, we will be able to accommodate your particular needs and requirements.

Whatever your experience, a fantastic day is promised for only an amazing £49!

Changing it up to make 2018 Powerdays more Inclusive!

This year sees a change to procedings with the inclusion of the New Michelin Sports Touring Tyre. So confident are Michelin with the ability of the New Michelin Road 5, that you can now attend a 2018 Michelin Powerday with this fabulous all round tyre!

For the 2018 Powerdays we are booking all of the circuits for the whole day, meaning that we have more spaces than ever and  will be able to run 3 Groups. There will be a Road 5//Novice group, an Intermediate Group and a Fast Group, each getting equal track time with expert tuition from our instructors.
