The Back End of the 2018 Season
Earlier this month we ran the final Powerday of the year at the excellent Anglesey International Circuit. Despite the fog and mist, a superb day was had by all. The sun shone in the afternoon and all the riders went home tired and happy.
We were joined by many old friends at Anglesey. Cotters Motorcycles bought their customers across from Dublin and Craigston Tyres bought a garage load down from Aberdeen! Many other Michelin trade customers were present including Jennings and Furlong Tyres. We were also joined by Thundersport champion Lee Williams for more tyre testing on the new Performance range.
Over 420 riders joined us in 2018 and a massive thanks to all of you and I hope you all enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the Michelin Powerdays. We hope to be back in 2019 for more fun and games. In the meantime why not checkout Septembers edition of Performance Bike, where we had two great articles about the Cadwell event. We also have added some photos of Anglesey to share.
We look forward to seeing you in 2019!

Snetterton, Knockhill, Bishopscourt, Cadwell, Anglesey - Power Days 2018
The plans for 2018 were larger than 2016 and 2017. We held five events throughout the UK, but this year we have EXCLUSIVE hire of all the circuits. This was not only to increase the number of participants but also to build an intimate and more personal experience. Alongside Snetterton, back were the fantastic Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire, Knockhill in Scotland and Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland. We were extremely pleased to visit the brilliant and picturesque Anglesey Circuit in North Wales for the first time.
Alongside Terry Rymer we assembled a very experienced team of instructors to give excellent tuition on the day. For all novice riders, Terry gave a beginners guide in the classroom on how to get the most out of your trackday experience. There were also a tyre academy talk by Michelin UK, to help explain their tyre range and the benefits they have seen since being back in Moto GP. We were also joined by the legend that is Steve Parrish at Snetterton!
We hoped that by building capacity to over 600 riders, we changed the structure of the events to make them more ‘open to all’. Whether you are a trackday hero or a complete novice, we were able to accommodate your particular needs and requirements.
Whatever your experience, a fantastic day was had all for an amazing £49!
Changing it up to make 2018 Powerdays more Inclusive!
This year saw a change to procedings with the inclusion of the New Michelin Sports Touring Tyre. So confident are Michelin with the ability of the New Michelin Road 5, that riders could attend a 2018 Michelin Powerday with this fabulous all round tyre!
For the 2018 Powerdays we booked all of the circuits for the whole day, meaning that we had more spaces than ever and were able to run 3 Groups. There was be a Road 5//Novice group, an Intermediate Group and a Fast Group, each getting equal track time with expert tuition from our instructors.
